This redesign reimagines YouTube’s homepage with a focus on user control and a more intuitive, streaming-like experience. The goal was to reduce algorithm overwhelm and make it easier for users to discover content they genuinely care about.
Through research and UX exploration, I identified core pain points in YouTube’s recommendation system and homepage layout. I then developed wireframes, user flows, and hi-fidelity prototypes aimed at simplifying navigation, organizing content into clear categories, and giving users direct control over their preferences.
The final concept reflects a balance between personalization, clarity, and usability- allowing YouTube to feel more intentional, less chaotic, and closer to the experience users expect from platforms like Netflix or Hulu
